Stevenage earned a point at Aldershot with a 1-1 draw, with Chris Day saving a late (and very dubious) penalty. Boro lined up with one change from the Stockport game, Yemi coming in for Laird.

Aldershot had the early chances through Charles, Vincent and Morgan. After twenty minutes Griffin was injured and had to be replaced by Laird. Bridges soon replaced Charles for Boro, as Aldershot continued to have chances, this time through Straker.

Beardsley had a goal ruled out for offside before half time, but took only six minutes after the break to get his name on the scoresheet. Yemi was wrestled to the ground in the box and the ball fell for Beardsley to put Stevenage ahead.

The game became end to end, with the Shots eventually equalising through Spencer. The home fans thought they had won Aldershot won themselves a lucky penalty in the 85th minute. Daisy denied Morgan though and Boro took a point home.
