Stevenage can concentrate on the League – & FA Cup – after going out of another competiton at the first time of asking. The Johnstone’s Paint trophy is one of those competitions that fans cannot be excited about unless their team gets to the final (a bit like the FA Trophy) and is so frowned upon by League 1 and 2 sides that they let Luton win it, back when the Bedfordshire minnows were a Football League club.

Brentford won Tuesday’s Broadhall Way clash one nil, with a Robbie Simpson header. Boro made two changes from the previous fixture, with Laird and winn coming in for Charles and Griffin. I can’t really tell you much else, as I wasn’t at the game. 1916 were though, including 365 away fans. You can read the club’s official website’s match report here.
