Westley Returns To Boro

Graham Westley has returned to Stevenage as our new manager.

The now, 45 year old, has rejoined us after previously departing the role to take up the Preston job.

Speaking to the Official Site Chairman Phil Wallace said of the re-appointment.

‘Graham was keen to come back to Stevenage and, although I met some strong candidates, without doubt I think he’s the best man for the job now. Since he left we’ve continued that progress in people and infrastructure off the pitch. So we spent a lot of time this past week talking about things we feel we could do better this time round and we’ve put many of those into our contractual agreement.’

Graham himself added elsewhere on the Official Site about his return.

‘I certainly didn’t imagine that I’d be back 14 months later, it’s a journey I’ve made before, and I’m really happy to be back. The training ground is fantastic, the club just keeps moving forward. All the facilities keep improving and I hope that I can come back and make another positive difference on the field of play.’
