Roberts – We Deserved A Point

Mark Roberts has admitted he can’t argue with Comminges sending off, but he was delighted with the determination of the players after being reduced to ten men.

Speaking following the game, our caretaker/player manager said.

‘We have big characters in the squad and I was impressed by the leadership qualities that everybody showed. It was a lionhearted performance. We reacted superbly (to the sending off) and it was an incredible effort all over the pitch.’

Roberts adds that the sending off was correct for two bookable offences as he’d have been livid if a Crawley player had stayed on the pitch in similar circumstances.
