Stevenage have confirmed that nine players will leave the club when their deals expire as manager Graham Westley continues to plan for 2014-15.

The club have now released Steve Arnold, Matt Ball, Jordan Burrow, Anthony Furlonge, Michael Thalassitis and Oumare Tounkara and informed them that their contracts will be not be extended when they expire this summer.

They are also joined by Francois Zoko, Dani Lopez and Craig Reid who have already left as their deals are now over.

However, the club have also announced today that defender John Ashton and goalkeeper Chris Day have both signed a new 12 month deal, and I believe from the wording of the statement, we also hold a further 12 month option on both.

Second year Academy scholars Fejiri Okenabirhie and Rohdell Gordon have both been offered their first professional contracts with the club, but all remaining second year scholars have been released.
