Maamria – Home Is Where The Heart Is

Dino Maamria has said he is delighted to return the club with the victory over Hartlepool, as it was a very tough decision to leave.

Speaking to the Official Site after the match Maamria explained that he’d never really left the club but he was delighted to be back in an official capacity.

‘I’ve never been away actually. I’ve been here a few times and my heart has always been here anyway so I am absolutely over the moon. It’s where we belong, where I certainly belong anyway.’

He adds that his heart wasn’t in moving to Preston when he did, but as a management group it seemed the next logical step in their journey and their learning curve, and ultimately he feels a better coach for it even though he believes the move was a mistake, but now is the time for him to be where his heart is.
