Stevenage’s League 2 season continued with a win against Plymouth at Broadhall Way on Saturday.

A run of three-matches unbeaten is what Stevenage find themselves on now, with two of those won, including this latest one two-one impressively against highflying, and promotion fancied, Plymouth!

Spurs loanee Ogilvie (6) smashed into the back of the net at the end of a good Stevenage move to give them the lead, which Lee should have added to but he didn’t take this chance but it was his set up for Whelpdale (38) that gave Boro a two-goal lead at the break.

Tanner (54) pulled one back for Plymouth early in the second half but it wasn’t enough with Sheringham’s side seeing out the win!

The other results this weekend were as follows:-

Sat 5th September
Newport 0 – 3 York
Carlisle 3 – 2 Barnet
Cambridge 1 – 3 Luton
Exeter 4 – 0 Leyton Orient
Mansfield 1 – 1 Wimbledon
Northampton 1 – 2 Dag & Red
Portsmouth 0 – 0 Accrington
Stevenage 2 – 1 Plymouth
Wycombe 2 – 1 Hartlepool
Yeovil 2 – 4 Morecambe

Sun 6 Sep 2015 – League Two
Bristol Rovers 0 – 1 Oxford Utd

Looking at these results the stand out ones have to be the wins for Exeter, Dagenham and Stevenage.

It wasn’t the way Leyton Orient boss Hendon would have wanted to celebrate his Manager of the Month win with his Orient side not only beaten but beaten convincingly by Exeter four-nil at St James Park as Tisdale’s side became the first side to beat the O’s this season.

Speaking of firsts, Dagenham collected a first win of the season with a two-one win at Northampton. Going away from Sixfields with the points in a two-one win for the Daggers to move then out of the relegation zone.

A Stevenage win against Plymouth, a first one was secured a couple of weeks back, made it three unbeaten for Boro and two wins out of three-matches for Sheringham’s side following a two-one win at Broadhall Way!

Boro are back in action next weekend with a League 2 game against York at Broadhall Way once again.
