Stevenage’s League 2 season continued with another defeat against Carlisle at Broadhall Way on Saturday.

Not for the first time this season a missed penalty cost Stevenage, on this occasion it meant Boro were beaten one-nil by Carlisle.

Brett Williams seeing his spot kick saved by Carlisle ‘keeper Mark Gillespie prevented Stevenage from going ahead with a late defeat suffered when Tom Miller (82) won it for the visitors to make it four-match in a row lost and six without a win but Boro stay in 20th.

The other results this weekend were as follows:-

Sat 3 Oct 2015 – League Two
Accrington 1-3 Oxford Utd
Wimbledon 2-0 Barnet
Dag & Red 3-4 Mansfield
Hartlepool 1-4 Luton
Leyton Orient 3-1 Notts County
Morecambe 3-4 Bristol Rovers
Newport 1-1 Exeter
Plymouth 2-1 Crawley
Portsmouth 0-0 Yeovil
Stevenage 0-1 Carlisle
Wycombe 2-3 Northampton
York 2-2 Cambridge

Looking at these results, and there were some incredible high scoring ones that caught the eye, but the stand out ones have to be the wins for Oxford and Northampton?

Accrington went into the weekend on the up, however Oxford had also found some form so it was two in-form sides meeting but it was the U’s that were celebrating on Saturday night following a three-one win at the Crown Ground.

The leadership in League 2 is changing constantly, Wycombe went into the weekend leading the way with Northampton one of those looking to move up into the play-offs places with it the Cobblers that got the points when they left Adam Park after a five-goal thriller with a three-two win!
