Stevenage’s League 2 season continued, but an unbeaten run ended, with a defeat against Barnet at the Hive on Saturday.

Having led twice, including early on when Franks (11) headed home, Stevenage were pegged back twice!

First when Barnet drew level through N’Gala (48) after the break, with MK Dons loanee Hitchcock (50) restoring this lead minutes later, only for former Hull striker Mclean (63) to tie it up again.

Barnet turned to game around to win a five-goal thriller three-two in the end through Gash (78)….

The other results this weekend were as follows:-

Sat 19th September 2015
Accrington 4-2 Exeter
Wimbledon 2-1 Notts County
Barnet 3-2 Stevenage
Crawley 0-1 Yeovil
Dag & Red 0-0 Newport
Hartlepool 0-0 Cambridge
Leyton Orient 1-1 Wycombe
Luton 1-0 Mansfield
Morecambe 2-4 Northampton
Oxford Utd 1-1 Portsmouth
Plymouth 1-1 Bristol Rovers
York 2-2 Carlisle

Looking at these results the stand out ones, that being said in all honesty, with no disrespect to any of these sides, there weren’t ‘stand out’ results as such from a weekend that didn’t really bring many ‘surprises’ with plenty of draws, would be the wins for Accrington, sadly Barnet and Yeovil.

Accrington are surprising plenty this season, they’ve secured some good points and quietly gone about things. Stanley hadn’t scored too many this season but found the net four times against Exeter on Saturday in a four-two win against the Grecians the Crown Ground!

Potentially, even at this stage, the biggest three-points of the weekend saw Yeovil go away from the Broadfield Stadium with a one-nil win over Crawley as the Glovers beat the Reds in a battle of the sides relegated from League 1 last season and among many people’s tips to struggle in League 2 this time round!

Stevenage are back in action this Saturday with a game against Cambridge at the Abbey Stadium as Boro look to respond.
