With the news ahead of the game against MK Dons that Roarie Deacon was out for the season following surgery, Dean Parrett could also now join him having been stretchered off in yesterday’s match.

Deacon first, who has had to undergo ankle surgery following a knock he took in the game against Preston North End.

Whilst the injury seemed innocuous at the point, subsequent scans showed that he had suffered ankle ligament damage, and last week was booked in fir surgery.

As a follow on from this, his season is now over as he begins the rehabilitation period with an eye to returning next season.

In yesterday’s game though it could also be the worst of news for Parrett who was carried off just after the hour mark.

Speaking following the game, whilst the full extent of his injury was not known, manager Graham Westley did say he was fearing the worst and thought it’s ‘probably his season’ now unfortunately, which is another blow to us and will be a blow to the player who opened the scoring on the day with his first goal for the club.
