Former Stevenage forward Elliott Buchanan wants to prove himself in the 5th tier this time around. Buchanan was signed by Peter Taylor in 2008. The following information is taken from his profile on the excellent Boroguide site and can be found on the following link http://www.boroguide.co.uk/players/b/buchanan_elliot.php.

Young forward who joined Stevenage Borough on transfer deadline day in January 2008 from Ryman League side Northwood Town. The exciting prospect had notched 23 goals in 26 games for the club, and did enough to convince Peter Taylor to take a chance on him. However, he was allowed to move on by Graham Westley after failing to impress.

Buchanan has told the Uxbridge Gazette that he wants to feature – and score – regularly for Hayes and Yeading this season. He said:

“I was at Stevenage for a little while and that was my first step into the Conference, then I went back down with Slough. But I think that I can cope with the step up if I can get a run of games after scoring my first goal [v Histon on Saturday]. Hopefully, I can carry on scoring after that. I scored 24 goals last season and that was the most I had scored in one season.”

Vital Stevenage wishes him well.
