Vital Bradford‘s Editorial team answer a few questions in the build up to Stevenage’s first away fixture in the Football League:

How do you expect Bradford to get on this season?

We are the early bookies favourites but have been before so we’re taking nothing for granted. Pre-season went well and the squad looks impressive but an opening day defeat at Shrewsbury brought us back down to Earth with a bang. I’d say play-offs are a must and we have the potential to finish in the top 3 but time will tell.

What do you make of Ex-England Manager Peter ‘No Excuses’ Taylor? He’s not too popular at Broadhall Way after his spell here three seasons ago.

So far so good is the best way to describe Taylor’s reign here. We needed big changes after Stuart McCall’s poor reign and Taylor did it instantly, bringing good balance to the team at the end of last season, as well as bringing in some great summer signings.

Which players should we look out for on Saturday?

Our midfield is full of class. Tommy Doherty and Tom Adeyemi both could play at higher levels, where as Michael Flynn already has. Omar Daley is lightning quick too. But our main threat will probably come from James Hanson, our young striker with an eye for goal. He also scored the winner to knock out Nottingham Forest in midweek.

Any thoughts on Stevenage & how we’re likely to get on in our first Football League season?

I was impressed with Stevenage last year. The conference is not easy but you ran away with it so that’s the sign of a good side. It’s not been a great start for you but keep faith, I don’t think you will be in a relegation scrap.

Prediction for the match?

I have to say that I think we will win on Saturday but it won’t be easy. We will be on a high from Tuesdays victory over Nottingham Forest and we look like scoring lots of goals this year. But we do always leak goals and last year you showed a real eye for goal so it could be close, but I think we will nick it.

Thanks to Vital Bradford
